This course is designed to teach the armed individual the basic principles of care under fire and dealing with the main elements of combat trauma. Based on the military’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), the course discusses the difference between Tactical and EMS medicine. The students will become familiar with the application of the tools and techniques through classroom lecture for the first half of the day and practical exercises for the remainder. The students will become familiar with the application of more advanced techniques in managing trauma and the top three causes of preventable death in the tactical environment.</p>
